[29/10/09 Interview] Going sexy for the first show; Myolie relies on secret weapon to train

For Myolie’s first show, she had been given the orders to show all her talents, singing, dancing, appearance, figure…. everything must be displayed in front of the audience and it is a must to dress sexily! Myolie also revealed that she bought a few secret weapons, and she is trying to train herself, and when time is right, everyone will see a different Myolie!

Myolie will be holding her mini concert on 13 December at Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Center. This is her first concert ever since she stepped into the music industry. She said that she is feeling both excited and nervous, because there are several obstacles for her to breakthrough!

“I have tried singing on the stage, but the longest time I performed was 45 minutes. This time I am using the identity as a singer and have to sing alone for one and a half hours and this is the first time! The company has also ordered me to show all my talents, which includes singing, dancing, and playing organ while singing. I really feel a lot pf pressure.”

Stephen Chan praised Myolie; increased her confidence level
Myolie has performed on stage before, thus she should the experience. But she still has to work hard, “Even though I went on stage when I was in Malaysia, and playing the organ while singing, but actually I did not officially learn how to play the organ. I only learnt a bit from a professional when I was studying. After not practicing for many years, my fingers have hardened! As for dancing, I am not from a dancing background, definitely will have some difficulties! Furthermore, I have to fly over to Hokkaido for 3 weeks filming of 《魚躍在花見の朝》 “The Morning of Flying Fish in Hanami”, so my practicing time will not be much, thus I have started practicing dancing few months back. And I do not have enough time to practicing singing as well, therefore I spent thousand dollars buying an audio equipment, practicing daily at home. I am relying on this as my secret weapon, because my LIVE singing is still not stable.”

Myolie’s first show must exhibit all her talents, laughingly asked her if she included body? Myolie said “It will not be too sexy, but a little sexiness should be alright. I even discovered that having a concert, costumes, make-up, hairstyles, songs etc there is really a lot of things to take care of, really enough to let people headache!”

Then will you invite rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong as the special guest? Myolie said no, but she will invite him as well as other colleagues and friends, as well as Stephen Chan. She said happily “During TVB lighting ceremony, Mr Stephen Chan praised that I sang well for 《一刀了斷》 “A Clean Break”, especially I have grasped well for the ending notes. His compliment made me very happy, even driving on my way home, I was happy that I smiled, and of course this has helped me to increase my confidence level for my concert.”

[28/10/09 Interview] Love and work are equally important; Myolie Wu pursues a steady love

Myolie Wu’s new EP 《Love Holic》(愛情狂), actually does her love view have unique merits? Guess she is not just a love holic, but also a workaholic. Mentioning that she will be busy working in December, extremely busy, went so far as words with excitement, and indeed she has a passion for work!

Myolie Wu’s new EP 《Love Holic》(愛情狂) is scheduled to release on 21 November. It will be a collection of 6 Cantonese and 1 Mandarin songs. The theme will be love songs; In reality, is Myolie a love holic?

Faced problems in relationship
Being in a relationship is a very tiring thing which requires lots of effort. However, people usually are willing to waste their youth on this bet without knowing if there will be any returns. They don’t even know is the ending is what they wanted. This is my view on love, so I have also faced many rejections and problems at this area

“But I still want to pursue love, even if meets a setback or feeling unhappy, because there must be something happy that can make oneself in a state of insane mind, just like what others said “A thing like love needs to have few pain to get few love”. While life must certainly have love, moreover in life, how long can one’s love-affair be? I have always naively thought that when I am 50 years old, I will still be able to love my other half deeply, so sweet.”

However Myolie denied that she is crazy over love, she thinks that one can be a love holic, but also can be a workaholic, love and work are of equal importance.

Confessing herself as workaholic
“This year is my second year stepping into the music industry, and will be releasing my second album, I still want to continue to sing, that’s why I have to work harder. But talking about end of year, I will be very busy. In November, I will be filming and promoting my album at the same time. In December will be worse, I will have my mini concert, TVB Anniversary awards presentation, many music awards all going on. Therefore I would like to thank my parents for bringing me to the world that I am a person who is not afraid of hard work, haha. I am aware that I am also a workaholic,. Related to non-working stuffs, I will actually feel that I am quite useless.

Last year Myolie’s debut album 《Evolve》 made her won 4 major Newcomer awards. But this year’s opponents are all the female singers in Hong Kong. Regarding the awards, Myolie said that it will not be her turn, she just wants to sing well, hope that everyone can see that she has worked hard, and does not mind if she can get an award or not. Being a part of the music industry, one will need to dress up beautifully, and attend every award presentations.

I myself love this MV so much, different from all her other MVs.
I prefer this MV among the rest, though this is a sad song. You can feel the emotions in it.
And Myo was really really soaked wet, when you see at the end.

(Kuala Lumpur) Myolie Wu admired Anita Yuen for her successful career and happy family, and she regarded Anita’s success to be her target. But she denied being the man’s woman behind.

Pay rises for renewal of contract to be ambassador
Two years ago, Myolie Wu replaced Anita Yuen as Adonis embassador. This year Myolie renewed her contract again with a rise in pay. This time round she came to Malaysia not only to renew her contact, but also to fulfill the duties of a spokesperson for Adonis. Held promotional activities “A Beauty Date” in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, having to share her product experiences, Myolie also attended Adonis at The Pavilion for their 15th branch opening ceremony.

Having to work with Adonis for the 3rd year, Myolie expressed that she knows Adonis has been selecting for a suitable spokesperson, and she had successfully became the second ambassador after Anita Yuen. To her, she felt very honoured and also hopes that her “beauty and self-confidence” does not stop 20 years, but will still be as beautiful as ever even after 60 or 70 years old.

For a successful career and family for Anita, Myolie said that it will be her goal in life, “Work is important, but family is equally as important. There must be a balance, I don’t want to be a workaholic, and be afraid of feeling bored and lonely when I return home. Having a good career, husband and son, as a woman there is no regrets!”

Longs for everlasting love
Myolie who is currently putting her work as the main focus, even though there are rumours about Bosco and her being together, but she emphasizes that she is still single and is in a “always available” status. She does not rule out that if a guy pursue her letting her have a feeling of “is worth it”, she is willingly to allocate time for relationship, but as for the so-called “worth it”, she said “I want him to love me!”

Myolie longs for everlasting love, that two people love each other. “Two people getting along is a very difficult technique, I am still trying to learn!”

However, the professionalism Myolie denied being “a woman hiding behind a man”, “The most important decision is still myself, of course still must respect the man, but I will always still consider myself!”

Denies Okinawa as an advanced honeymoon
Recently Andy who hid his marriage in secret has been revealed, and this has caused the entertainment circle to be in an uproar. Myolie believes that marriage is a happy occasion, she will definitely announce in public. Myolie came to Malaysia to fulfill her responsibilities as an ambassador, on Friday (4th September) she appeared in Sungei Wang for her first event “A Beauty Date”. She is full of brilliance and self-confidence after completing a facial skin-care treatment. She strongly recommended a brand new beauty product – 7 Chakra treatment and anti-stress aroma. She is familiar with the product, this sharing with everyone about it, allowing Adonis CEO, Miss Anne Lee to be satisfied and keeps nodding her head, feeling very satisfied with the performance of the ambassador!

Reaffirms she and Bosco are just friends
Myolie has been photographed earlier on being with rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong going on a trip to Okinawa together, suspected that both of them have reconciled, but Myolie emphasizes that both of them are only good friends. She said that during their trip, they have met many Hong Kong people and even greeted them openly, thus indicating that they had been very open and never had to worry being photographed.

“At that time I did not have any plans to go on a vacation, it just happened that during filming at Hengdian, there were casts that had been asked to take leave for five to six days. Initially I wanted to go to Shanghai for vacation, but coincidentally Bosco and his hair stylist were going to Japan, and so the decision of going together with them was made only one day before the trip.”

Myolie Wu’s arrival has attracted crowds of more than 300 people

Myolie Wu came to Malaysia to give some love tips, teaching girls when dating not to choose handsome guys, and also not to be so obsessed when in love which in turn become love-blind, must love ourselves more. This statement of hers, was derived of her own romance, being in love with a no conscious guy, seems like she is implying her rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong is unfaithful!

In fact, Myolie has become the ambassador for Malaysia’s well-known skin care brand for consecutive two sessions. This time in Malaysia for promotion, she also sang two new songs that has not been released – 《戀愛妄想》 “Love Delusion” and 《光明日》 “Bright Day”. She said “《戀愛妄想》 “Love Delusion” is to teach a girl not to choose a handsome guy, must love oneself more.” And 《光明日》 “Bright Day” is a more sad love song, describes a girl who is in love cannot be so insensitive, if find the guy not good in the end, when comes to breaking up will be more easy. This statement made people think of her rumoured boyfriend Bosco, handsome guys love or not love?

But now that I am back, I will definitely try my best to update it as soon as possible with all the news accumulating now. Please bear with me for a while, because I am quite busy with my studies too.

But here are some of the few updates that have gotten the news from Myolie herself during the trip:
1) Myolie will be singing 《光明日》 and ABBA songs LIVE for Po Leung Kuk function.

2) Myolie will be filming her new drama series for scenes in Hokkaido for 3 weeks from October – November period. In the new drama, Myolie will be wearing lots of branded clothes. She will have to cut her hair short, but her fringe will leave a little long.

3) Myolie’s second album will consist of 7 songs: 6 Cantonese and 1 Mandarin songs.

[03/09/09 News] Myolie Wu will not be “blinded” by love

Myolie Wu was promoting her new song “光明日 Brighter Day” at Metro Radio yesterday. She expressed that is a very sad song. It describes a girl who had a relationship with a guy, and she is deeply in love with him, but discovered that he has been unfaithful to her.

Myolie said she will never forget this music video because when she was filming that MV, she got soaked and wet in Tai O. In fact, she was very worried there might be sharks around. Myolie was asked when she was in love, was she blinded by love? Myolie said she is a very reasonable person with a clear mind, but she will not tolerate her boyfriend cheated on her. Asked if she would not even give him a chance, and kicked him out? Myolie replied “No chance, but I think if a couple has a problem, leading to one of them cheating the other, there must be something wrong in their relationship. That needs to be sorted between them.”

Metro Radio gave Myolie an air ticket to America, and she was asked how would she spend it? Myolie smiled and said she won’t use it to get married.
