[16/11/09 News] Myolie and Chilam finally rewarded after contributing many years
Chilam and Myolie quietly putting in efforts for so many years, finally they are rewarded.
Chilam and Myolie Wu who have been arranged by the record company to pair up as a newly couple, after that TVB also wanted them to be on-screen couple. Last night, both of returned to Hong Kong from Japan. This time they went to Japan for three weeks, to Otaru and Tokyo for filming.Many people think that filming overseas is very fun, can enjoy besides having to work, but actually it is not as interesting as one may think. Just like they went to Japan for three weeks, Chilam said to his manager “I haven’t even seen the streets lightings!” Every day start work around 3am or 4am, that is early morning 3am, 4am get out of bed, put on make-up and wash-up will need to wake up earlier. Everybody sees the surface that being an artiste is very glamorous, but have no idea how much they contributed? Of course there are rewards, just like Chilam and Myolie whose salaries are proportional thus it is worthwhile. But those who spent around ten years, but could only be in the entertainment circle having ups and downs, not to mention about filming movies and dramas, but having a small role in the series only having two sentences of dialogues would already make them very happy. I do not know how many “small” artistes they have in the entertainment circle, of course there are many popular celebrities, but quite many of the “small” artistes are also my friends. Seeing them have opportunities, even if it’s only three or four sentences of dialogues, having to compare with just being near the lead standing around, seeing them onscreen will make them even happier!
So whenever I see Myolie and Chilam being so hardworking, I appreciate every performance. That time I saw Chilam and Myolie was when their new duet song was starting to release, just started promoting. Chilam grew moustache because he wants to make himself to look more mature, he said to me in distress “My look is also my trouble, so keeping some moustache hoping to have some change!” Looking at his “child-like” face, his anguish can be understandable!
