Myolie participated for 60th National Day event and accepted an interview saying “This dress is very pretty, that’s why I bought it immediately. Last night Myolie Wu attended 60th National Day event at Sham Shui Po. Earlier on, she was being photographed buying a cheap top. Myolie expressed that buying tops that are not expensive is not a problem. Most important is to make sure that it is nice, and also said that thrifty is a virtue.
When being asked if rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong is the same who likes to save money? Myolie laughed and said “Don’t know, you asked him. But comes to such saving things, many guys know how to appreciate.”

To celebrate the 60th National Day, many singers including Ekin Cheng, Hacken Lee, Kate Tsui, Myolie Wu, Elanne Kong and many more attended last night’s Sham Shui Po District Council Special: Our Home Our Country 60th year performance.
Myolie is a thrifty lady
Myolie was being described by the media as someone who saves money. The magazine said that she went to Malaysia earlier for events which earned her HK$2 million as salary. However she only spent HK$1,000 on a dress, and even wore it immediately. She explained that because the dress was very beautiful, that’s why she would buy and wear it immediately, it has nothing got to do with saving money. However even when she was being said as someone who saves money, she was feeling pleased too because being thrifty is a virtue. She was more happy when now she has clothing sponsors for her as then she could save more, need not spend around a 6-figure sum in a year just to buy clothes. When being laughed that prodigal son likes such thrify girl, rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong is someone who loves to buy branded car and good things, she laughed till her face was red, and said that she did not know, but added few words “Such thrifty people will have guys to appreciate for.” About the reports of she and Nancy Wu exchanging clothes to wear, it was being clarified that there were times when the latter could not buy clothes in time, thus had to borrow from her.

Regarding the magazines saying that Myolie is very frugal due to the fact that she received HK$2 million when she was doing events in Malaysia, but only bought a dress worth HK$1,000 and wore it immediately. Myolie was not angry, instead she was happy and said “Actually I find that dress very pretty, that’s why I bought it immediately, and it’s not related to the price. But calling me a thrifty lade, I am very happy because thrifty is a virtue. Moreover artistes usually only wear their clothes once, and will not repeat again. The most happy thing is recently have many clothes sponsors, and because I have a record that in one year will spend about a 6-sum figure, and now don’t need to buy tops already.” When said that Bosco Wong likes to buy branded cars and things, a prodigal son likes thrifty women, Myolie immediately blushed and smiled sweetly saying “Don’t know, but many men will appreciate thrifty ladies.” Regarding news that she and Nancy Wu exchanged tops, she denied it and explained that it happened long ago when Nancy didn’t have the time to buy tops, thus she borrowed from Myolie.
