[23/08/09 Interview] Myolie Wu – I want to buy a big house

Yes, this good-looking Raymond Lam is also turning 30 years old, and there’s Myolie, Tavia, Bernice, Kate, Niki. Those beautiful ladies you see onscreen, are also turning 30 years old this year.

“In life where is there few decades? Most important is to be happy!”

Those who did chase HK drama will know this year most hits drama “Rosy Business” which contains the golden words of Chai Gau. Myolie stepped into the entertainment circle after winning 2nd runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant at the age of 19 and has always been steadily promoted by TVB. First – Buy a big house
To treat myself better, I will buy another house. Before that I’ve already bought a house for my dad, now hoping to buy one for myself. I have 9 cats at home, and for their sake, I need to buy a new house too. But this doesn’t mean that I want to have a family, buying a house on my own is very practical.

Second – Set up a snack shop
Have a small business will allow myself to have a more stable source of income. I am a person who loves to eat, I am very fond on those snacks on the streets, that’s why I would like to set up a snack shop specially for fishballs etc. The shop size need not be so big, just do a simple take-away for it will do. But must certainly work happily and make it delicious. At present these are just my dreams, there’s no real actions to it yet.

Third – Have a concert
Singing has always been my dream. Currently my second album will be releasing at the end of the year, but it is only part of my dream because I would love to have a concert. Hopefully this dream can be fulfilled in two to three years time at the Hong Kong Coliseum. If it is a mini concert, hopefully it can be fulfilled within one to two years. For the concert at the Coliseum, I will sing many songs, wear a lot of costumes, making this a memorable event.

Before 30 years old:
Something you are most proud of?
Myolie: I do not waste any opportunity every time, I would work hard for it which made me feel there is no regrets.

Most regrettable thing?
Myolie: Work too hard, and did not enjoy the happiness and life I had. I would want to change this.

Most favourite role?
Myolie: As a lawyer Chung Ching Ling in “Survivor’s Law”. Because this role is very cool, unlike all the other roles which are quite sad.

Something which you want to do but did not?
Myolie: The things which I want to do, I will do it so there’s nothing currently.

Most admired actors?
Myolie: Gong Li, because she is a “drama spirit”, every role that she acts is refined.

How do you celebration your birthday?
Myolie: Did not think of it at all. Just like I did not celebrate my 20th birthday. If have the time and it doesn’t clash with my work, perhaps I will ask my best friends and family out for a dinner to celebrate.

What birthday present do you give yourself?
Myolie: Buy a house. Besides this, I am already pampering myself with many things on normal days.

What kind of actress do you hope to turn into?
Myolie: Do not wish to accept any “good girl” roles. Hope to try out a role that plays a stronger girl.

What occupation do you want to be if you’re not an actress?
Myolie: Singer. If not in an entertainment industry, I will focus on being a lady boss for a snack shop.

After 30 years old:
At what age do you intend to get married?
Myolie: See when I can get to meet my Mr-Right, all depends on fate. Being an artiste, actually 30-years old is still young.
